Advisor – Power Markets & Grids

We are seeking an Advisor – Power Markets & Grids to lead our advocacy actions on electrification, electricity markets and grids which are critical to the development of the European wind industry. The Advisor works in the Advocacy & Messaging team (Policy Division) and reports to the Head of Advocacy and Messaging.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, strengthen and broaden an extensive advocacy network across the EU institutions, national authorities, international organisations and other stakeholders;
- Formulate the wind industry’s position and narrative on direct and indirect renewables-based electrification to improve the political and legal environment for wind energy deployment;
- Coordinate WindEurope’s Electrification Working Group: draft position papers, broker impactful policy positions;
- Coordinate WindEurope’s interactions with key stakeholders responsible for grid development at EU and national level (e.g. ENTSO-E, ACER, CEER, national TSOs);
- Lead WindEurope’s work on the implementation of the EU Electricity Regulation and Electricity Directive provisions on Market Design in Member States;
- Contribute to in-house activities on system integration and the future Market Design framework with WindEurope’s Business Intelligence team;
- Coordinate and execute WindEurope’s advocacy including via interaction with policymakers;
- Draft policy briefings (for management and members), presentations and any other relevant material to support the Association’s advocacy strategy;
- Represent the industry in meetings and events to advocate WindEurope’s messages and further develop the Association’s profile;
- Advise WindEurope members on relevant policy and industry developments; and
- Advise and actively contribute to WindEurope’s other key deliverables and activities: events, market intelligence, EU-funded projects, membership engagement and development.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Track record in shaping policy, result-driven networking and command of Energy policy.

WindEurope is seeking anInterim Business Development Manager to join the WindEurope Events & Sales team and to be primarily responsible for exhibition and sponsorship sales at WindEurope large events, including the administration and financial reporting.
This would be a fixed term contract until June 2022.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead on exhibition and sponsorship sales to meet sales targets;
- Work closely with the Head of Unit on sales and sponsorship packages development;
- Identify new business opportunities by analysing the market within the established remit;
- Work closely with the Exhibition Manager on the exhibition floorplan development;
- Contribute to the event sales reporting ensuring the CRM data entry and invoicing is completed as required;
- Represent WindEurope at external industry events to promote and sell events.
Required Qualifications:

Membership Officer
Membership Officer
Duration: 2-year fixed term
WindEurope is seeking a Membership Officer to support the membership team with business development and member retention activities.
The Membership Officer will be part of a team of 5 within the Membership Team that is part of the Policy Division.
Main Responsibilities:
Business Development (60% of the time):
- Identify new membership targets.
- Build and deliver impactful presentations.
- Develop new relationships to achieve the membership business development target through recruiting new member organisations.
- Utilise relationships with existing members to upgrade their level of service.
- Support B2B matchmaking activities at our events.
- Support the team with its participation in trade fairs and exhibitions. Ready to travel abroad within Europe, occasionally working outside normal working hours by attending morning and evening receptions.
Customer Service & Member Retention (30% of the role):
- Support members by answering their queries and/or redirecting them to other teams where appropriate.
- Maintain ongoing contact with members and proactively promote the association’s activities.
- Collect feedback and identify members needs in order to help shape the association’s strategy.
- Participate in projects and campaigns to enhance the association’s value proposition and its promotion.
- Become an expert in an industry area to be agreed.
Administration & Know Your Client (10% of the role):
- Perform database updates (processing of new memberships, contact details, etc.) in the Customer Relationship Management tool (Microsoft CRM).
- Ensure timely processing of membership contracts and issuing of invoices along with assisting in credit control where appropriate.
- Contribute to the optimisation of CRM and its integration with other tools (email, web etc).
Required Qualifications:

Experience:
We are looking for candidates with experience in sales and customer relations. Preferably with experience in the field of business to business sales (B2B), renewable energy or wider energy industries. Knowledge or experience of trade associations is a plus as is an understand of the EU policymaking process.
Languages:
Excellent written and spoken English is a must. Other languages spoken in the EU are an asset.
