We encourage to apply journalists who:
- work in a public or independent media (TV, radio or online/print, social media);
- are based in Ukraine;
- have experience in foreign reporting;
- are experienced in international collaboration;
- have a basic knowledge of the EU and its Member States;
- have a very good command of English, both orally and written.
Schedule of study tours (including days spent travelling):
- Budapest, Sofia, Rome: 13-25 April 2024.
- Berlin, Paris, Madrid: 25 May – 6 June 2024.
Willingness and commitment to take part in both study tours is mandatory.

Funding and organisation
A total of 12 Ukrainian journalists can join the fellowship program. All travel, accommodation, and catering costs during the study tours will be covered. We are ready to provide an official invitation for male journalists in Ukraine but cannot guarantee that the permit to leave the country will be issued.

Itinerary and program of study visits
The goal of these visits is to foster and strengthen lasting connections between Western European and Ukrainian media, while also enhancing the comprehension of the social and political dynamics within the respective countries.
Selected fellows will visit independent and public editorial offices, and meet with representatives of civil society, EU- institutions and experts. In addition, networking events with facilitated speed-datings, working sessions or discussions will be organised in each city.
