Communications Assistant
Carnegie Europe, a premier international affairs think tank based in Brussels and part of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, seeks a communications assistant who will help strengthen the center’s communications and outreach campaigns.
The communications assistant will be responsible for supporting Carnegie Europe’s communications team. Duties will include administration; maintaining Carnegie Europe’s web and digital presence, particularly for publications and events; monitoring and evaluating analytics; coordinating with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s global centers; and assisting in the development of Carnegie Europe’s communications strategy. The assistant will also be involved in special projects including in the work of Carnegie Europe’s Democracy, Conflict and Governance program.
This position requires a university degree and native or near-native level English. Candidates must be living in or able to work full-time in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have an interest in European and international affairs, particularly on the topic of democracy and governance, competence in digital technologies, the ability to work well as part of a team, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of HTML and content management systems (CMS), experience with multimedia production, and/or fluency in other EU languages, especially French, is desired.
