At The Faculty of Social Sciences, Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS), a full-time position as Postdoc in International Business and International Marketing is open for appointment from 1. August 2021 or soon thereafter for a maximum of 2,5 years.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Aalborg University Business School is looking for a highly enthusiastic academic who can build upon our existing strengths and considerable recent success by investing in excellence. This is an exciting time to join AAUBS. We are looking to recruit academics who can proactively contribute with creative ideas and active engagement in the key areas of our research and educational development.
The position is part of the development strategy of the School. It is expected to further develop the research and teaching activities with a specific focus on international marketing. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in branding, consumer behaviour and country-of-origin effect, consumer ethnocentrism and online purchasing behaviour, social media and international marketing communications. Good knowledge and skills in applying quantitative methods in research are also essential.
The successful applicant is required to show evidence of consistent research publications effort and an ambitious publications plan related to international marketing upcoming topics, such as e.g. international marketing and society, marketing practice, consumer behaviour and sustainability challenges. The appointee is expected to promote international marketing through developing collaboration with other research groups in AAUBS (e.g., Marketing) and with other parts of Aalborg University.
Regarding teaching the position is targeted at marketing and international marketing, mostly focused on branding and consumer behaviour. Preference will be given to candidates with a record in teaching and supervision of BSc and MSc projects. Academics with experience in Problem-Based Learning (PBL) are strongly encouraged to apply. Ability to teach in both English and Danish is preferred.
Aalborg University has outstanding record in developing its educational and research activities by integrating academic and relevant practical excellence. Applicants with an ability to develop links with businesses that can benefit academic teaching, research and funding applications are preferred.
The Post-Doc position requires that the successful applicant has knowledge about and some experience in university administrative activities, e.g. project applications and management. Participation in working groups and committees will be an advantage.
Qualification requirements
Candidates must have scientific qualifications at PhD level. In the selection of candidates, emphasis will be placed on research potential and pedagogical qualifications as well as experience with supervision and lectures. To a limited extent other tasks may occur in the position.

Assessment
An expert assessment committee will assess all candidates.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that subsequent to the deadline for applications the head of department supported by the chair of the assessment committee will select candidates for assessment. The selected applicants will be informed of the composition of the assessment committee, and each applicant will have the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that applies to the applicant in question. When the employment process has been terminated, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.

AGREEMENT
Appointment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science’s Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Salary is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State. The first 3 months of your employment is a trial period.
