There are two types of scholarships depending on the country of origin: Partner Country and Programme Country.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for partner country students

Devoted to partner country students. These scholarships will cover:

-Living allowance: a contribution for subsistence costs of 1000€/month  during 24 months*.

-Participation Costs: tuition fees and participation costs will be covered.

-Insurance health: the student will be insured.

-Contribution to travel and installation costs: the amount of this item will vary depending on the place of origin.

-1000€ installation the first year + 2.000€/year for scholarhip holder   resident in a partner country   whose location is situated at less   than 4,000 km from the TCCM   coordinating.

– 1000€ installation the first year + 3.000€/year for scholarhip holder   resident in a partner country   whose location is situated at s   tan 4,000 km or more from the TCCM   coordinating.

*Not to a scholarship holder from a partner country for the TCCM periods exceeding three months spent in any partner country.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for programme country students

Devoted to programme country students. Theses scholarships will cover:

-Travelscosts: 1000€/year to cover travels costs.

-ParticipationCosts: tuition fees and participation costs will be covered.

–Health insurance: the student will be insured.

–Living allowance: a contribution for subsistence costs of 1000€/month during 24 months*.

*It will not be granted to scholarship holders for the TCCM periods (study/research/placements/thesis preparation) spent in their counrty of residence.

Eligibility criteria

*Programme Country student:

-A national from the EU Member States (student’s country types) , Associated countries or a resident from the EU Member States and further programme countries, who has carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of these programme countries (reference date: application deadline).

-who has already obtained a first higher education degree (applicants having fulfilled 180 credit points of a Bachelor degree will be accepted provisionally, if they provide their (diploma) certificate until course start).

-who has not been accepted to register or is registered in an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Course already.

*Partner Country Student:

 – A national from OTHER countries different from the ones described above, who has not carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the programme countries (reference date: application deadline).

who has already obtained a first higher education degree (applicants having fulfilled 180 credit points of a Bachelor degree will be accepted provisionally, if they provide their (diploma) certificate until course start).

-who has not been accepted to register or is registered in an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Course already.

Selection Criteria

The selection process will imply to evaluate the candidate according to six areas defined as follows:

  • Area 1. The adequacy of the previous studies to the TCCM Master according to the following three categories:

-Chemistry, Physics, Material Science.

-Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Informatics,   Mathematics, Materials Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and other   related bachelors.

-Other areas loosely related (e.g. Food Technology).

This division may be corrected in case that the subjects listed in the academic record of the candidate contain more or less than the usual required subjects in the corresponding Euro bachelor.

  • Area 2. The academic excellence, as shown in the academic record sent by the candidate.
  • Area 3. The worldwide reputation of the institution in which previous studies have been done. This will be done by using the ranking of the best 12000 universities of the world provided by the web http://www.webometrics.info/
  • Area 4. The continuity in studies and extra degrees. A consecution of academic achievements in accordance with the age of the student is expected (BSc at 22-24 years old, MSc at 24-26, PhD at 26-28). Negative aspects: Academic breaks (degrees taking too long); and deviations from a research-oriented career.
  • Area 5. Extra activities. As English level and other languages, advanced knowledge of Chemistry,

Programming skills, Publications, posters, and attendance to conferences.

  • Area 6. References.

To apply for the scholarships, you will have to fill the form and upload some documents listed below.

Supporting Documents: For application, candidates should upload, in the corresponding field of the form, the following documents:

  1. A letter of motivation, where the three universities should be listed in order of preference .
  2. A CV
  3. Copy of the passport (all pages even blank ones.)
  4. Proof of current place of residence, place of work, or study (Id, city registration, etc)
  5. Copy of official transcript of the academic records
  6. Copy of diploma of bachelor degree studies (and diploma of master studies if any).
  7. The results of an internationally recognized English level test, or any official document issued by your university which states your English language level.
  8. Two recommendation letters (signed by referees)*

I have not a passport, could I change this document to another one like ID card or birth certificate?

Yes, if you do not have a Passport, you can send us the copy of your national identification card. This document will be valid until you send the copy of your passport once you get it.

Where can I find the letter Compliance listed in the documents for application to scholarships?h certificate?

The letter of complianceshould be signed by the applicant.

In my University the studies are in English (or half of the instruction is in English), do I have to send the English certificate?

In this case, you need to send to us any official document by your university where is stated that your studies were in English or part of them were in English.

It is the moment to read my thesis, what language should I read it?

The students must agree this point with their local supervisor.

When are contacted my referees?

Your referees are contacted in the case that we need more information about you, for example you have the same points that other students. In this situation we will contact with the referees to know more about the students and their backgrounds.

I have not finished my studies, could I apply to the master?

Students who have not finished their bachelor can apply but they must be sure to get their degree before the beginning of the master.

What is the language of the master?

The official language of the master is English but the institution has the option to choice the language of the lessons because the students have to learn a second European language.
